Silhouette Tracking

We developed a software tracking module using Microsoft Kinect. It features automatic background removal, blob detection and tracking.

The top left part shows the depth map of the background, top right shows live depth feed, bottom left part shows the feed after depth-processing and bottom right part shows the result with tracking.

The fact that the chair stops being tracked once it remains still for a while is a feature called automatic background adaptation.
