In that house there is the most exquisite apartment with an ambiance that lies somewhere between the Present and the Future. In 2012 Sadar + Vuga Architects asked us to design lighting for it.
We started by developing conceptual lighting design that divided the space into zones – with each zone having different lighting requirements.
Then we established lighting requirements for each zone. For example, we wanted to have spotlights around the kitchenette glass curtain to bring out the sparkle within the glass.
On the other hand, we wanted diffuse lighting in seating and dining areas and dedicated lighting in bathroom and bedroom.
To ensure the final look will be exactly what we wanted, we of course performed all the necessary lighting calculations, especially for the recessed lighting grid in the ceiling.
